We Are Here

For Growth

LBC focuses on attracting and assisting investors interested in investing in The Bahamas. This will include developers interested in large-scale projects like marinas, hotel development, or an airport. It will also include those interested in second homes in The Bahamas for personal use and to let. Large-scale developers can avoid the red tape, and the smaller homeowners are assured of clear titles and have recourse with a company resident in the United States.

While our initial focus will be on the American investor, we will welcome interest from around The world. The Chinese, Canadians, and Europeans have also expressed keen interest in investing in The Bahamas, particularly Andros. We will foster and pursue this interest to broaden the base of investors approaching the island.

We have chosen to begin our effort in The Bahamas and, more specifically, in Andros, then the other major less-developed islands of the archipelago. We have chosen The Bahamas because we feel that we will find support from the Bahamian Government, a willingness to partner with us proactively, and a belief in the sustainable development we plan to provide. The Bahamas as a nation has demonstrated its maturity as a stable democracy that supports individual liberties and the quest of the individual to improve his life standing to support the efforts of his neighbor to do the same.
Andros, in particular, is the largest island in The Bahamas and the most sparsely populated. It is ripe for economic development, and its coming to life could help to drive the rest of the Bahamian economy successfully. The community has been clamoring for development and growth for a while and often feels left behind, and development opportunities often land on another island instead of Andros. So, there is the interest of the external and internal investors, the support of the Bahamas government, and the desire for change from the community. This confluence of narratives lends to near-perfect synchronization by introducing a significant development initiative in South Andros. The development of this island community is a problem worth tackling and solving for the community, the potential investors, and the country as a whole.

The primary focus of this proposal is to garner support for the efforts of LBCDC to direct foreign investment to the Bahamas to manage and assist in the development of projects in the Bahamas, beginning on islands less developed like Andros, Cat Island, Long Island, and others in the central and southern Bahamas.

How the Process Works

We will get government approval for the land inventory, do land development using corporate capital, and then use the same corporate resources to develop a master plan. We will promote this to investors after getting participation and then assisting in managing the development moving forward. We maintain control of the land inventory until the development is consummated, we promote the master plan, and we attract and vet investors and move the project forward for the broader national interest. To this end, the core offering of LBCDC will be:

01.

The development company will at its expense develop a master plan and market this area to investors worldwide.

02.

The development company will act as the principal developer, engaging major developers and investors to offer projects for development that fall within the scope of the comprehensive master development plan.

03.

The development company will serve as or engage project managers for the project and act as the administrative and operational support to ensure that individual projects are successfully introduced, integrated, and advanced.

04.

The development company will serve as the liaison between the investors and between the government and individual investors.
We noted at the outset that the goal of LBCDC is to focus on the economic development of the island of South Andros starting with investing in tourism and moving outward. We will seek to make the island a growth center for the country in tourism, light industry, and logistical support services. Our primary directives will include:
A focus on economic development
Establishing transhipment hubs
Creating business support services (call centers for example)
Developing employment opportunities
Developing affordable housing
Educating the public and promoting skills transfer
LBCDC advocates Bahamian-led foreign investment for national growth, partnering with the government for inclusive development.
