
Debra Alexander Fisher an alumnus of Tennessee State University is a principal and EVP of Alexander and Associates, Inc., a regional Insurance and Risk Management Services firm established in 1989 with her brother Victor W. Alexander Sr.
Debra began her insurance career in 1979 at Aetna Casualty & Surety Company as a Commercial Package Underwriter. Debra specializes in insurance program management of banks, entertainment, public sector, real estate, non-profits, construction and transportation risk. She is featured in the publication” Superstars of Insurance Sales”. Debra was appointed to the Governor’s Minority Business Advisory Task Force and received the Benny Award for Minority Business advocate.
Debra has always had the volunteer spirit, as a young teen she was a “Candy Striper” in her hometown of Detroit. In 2005, Debra became an American Red Cross volunteer where she has trained and served in Case Management, Disaster Assessment, RCE, Logistics, Public Affairs and currently assigned As Regional Communications and Public Affairs.
Recently, Debra was awarded the President of the United States Gold Volunteer Service Award and 2022 and 2023 Nashville Area Chapter Award for Excellence.
Debra also volunteers with Tennessee State Alumni Association, Jefferson Street United Merchants Partnership, Street Works, Reach One Teach One and currently hold the position of Executive Director for National Action Network -Middle TN Chapter and board member for Long Bay Cays Development .
Debra is a Rule 31 civil mediator
Debra is currently enrolled in Graduate School at Libscomb University Institute for Conflict Management
When Debra is not volunteering, she enjoys traveling, rving, motorcycling and spending time with her husband Kennet
