The pursuit of Direct Foreign Investment (DFI) is an essential part of the economic strategy for the Government of The Bahamas. Indeed, it is a crucial part of the economic strategy for progressive, open economies as they seek to balance their trade deficits with larger economies or enhance their trade account with their particular trading community partners and peers.

It is our view at Long Bay Cays Development Company (LBCDC) that the pursuit of DFI is best when driven by a Bahamian-owned entity whose focus is to bring greater resource and value to the Bahamas. LBCDC’s purpose for existing is to understand the government investment intent, then develop and initiate a master plan for the designated island(s) or subdivision(s) and promote the plan as a partner of the government to attract foreign investment to it.

Because of this purpose, LBCDC has a plan to partner with the Bahamian government to develop beautiful land and create opportunities for the citizens fo the Bahamas to share in the benefit of its work. This plan is comprehensive and go beyond the ideas of a single investor looking out for individual interests, particularly investors that are not Bahamian. With several of its principals being natives of the Bahamas, LBCDC has a significant level of broad national interest. LBCDC exists to partner with you and move the Bahamas forward.
